Welcome to The Path To Mindset Mastery! My name is Brad Bizjack! I’m a mindset strategist and coach, inspirational speaker, and creator of Appreciation Academy and I help online business owners breakthrough all the negative self-talk holding you back from your dreams so you can finally see the success you deserve!

And I’m curious! Do you feel like your marketing doesn’t work? Like you post the right amount of times? You share on your insta stories? You share your life regularly, but it seems like no one gives a shit? Almost like people are ghosting you? You wish your posts would reach more people. You wish your videos would actually help someone. You wish that someone’s life would change from your content, but you get no feedback, so you’re unsure, right!? And shit man, you probably just want some sales, right?! Of course, you do!! Let’s dive into marketing today. Let’s talk about it on a deep level, so you can break through and actually reach the people you want to reach and serve them in the way you’re meant to serve them! Sound good?! Okay! So what is marketing?

Marketing is the generous act of helping someone solve a problem. That’s what you’re doing. You’re helping people solve a problem. That’s why your customer avatar exercise is so important that you do. Because if you don’t know your customers deepest fear, you won’t know what problem to solve so you won’t have anything to share about and you’ll be reaching and grasping in every direction for content. And then you see other people sharing and seem to be crushing it, and you get into the comparison game when all of this can be beaten by identifying who you want to serve.

Something you must understand: If you are not crystal clear on who you’re trying to reach and if you don’t align your content with that exact person, you are marketing to nobody.

Interruption Doesn't Work!

A lot of people think that if you write the most posts and get in front of someone’s face, they’ll join you. No. Marketing must be earned. Marketing is now a game of trust. Before, you could buy ads in the newspaper and people would buy it. Now, people buy through trust. And the way you earn trust is through constant massive value being added.

Marketing Is Empathy!

Think about the beginning of this podcast. Did I ask you about a struggle you were having? Almost like I was peering into your challenge? That’s empathy! And this podcast is a method of my marketing! You need to do the same thing with your prospects!

So instead of just sharing about your life to show who you are, use your life as a tool to add value. Everything needs to be with your ideal customer’s interest in mind.

You want to create content that’s so good that you’d actually be missed if you didn’t show up on social media that week. That’s how much value to add. And you’ll only know what value to add if you know your mission and the ideal customer you want to serve.

How do you add value? Through insane vulnerability. You must share what’s really going on. You must have that courage. Because that is what’s actually going to inspire your ideal customer. Just showing a great life with little inspirational quotes doesn’t do shit. It doesn’t move them. Your vulnerability with the intention of helping them break through what’s going on in their life. That is how you inspire them to act.

In a social media world that is so busy and so saturated, the only way you will ever break through is with the truth. Attention is a precious resource that you need to earn.

Persistent, consistent, and frequent stories of your life with the intention to serve and add value, delivered to an aligned audience (meaning in line with your customer avatar) will earn attention, trust, and action.

And you do this by caring enough about the people you seek to serve. You share things that they need to hear. That’s how you market.

People don’t buy your story. They buy what they see in your story. They buy how they could see their life-changing. So hear your ideal customer. Listen to her. Influence her.

Identify the smallest possible group of people you could serve. Be so specific in what you share and make them a promise of a specific feeling they’ll get.

And you might be going, “but if I limit my audience, aren’t I holding myself back from reaching more people?” – No. The opposite. The only way you’ll reach anyone is if you go deep enough and vulnerable enough and add enough value. So you have to be so targeted that you can go that deep. And people might not connect with ALL of your story. But they might connect with some of your story, and you’ll still earn their trust because you’re real. Smaller is bigger.

The goal of identifying the smallest possible market is to find people that will actually understand you and will fall in love with where you hope to take them. Not everyone is gonna feel this way. But you don’t need 300,000,000 people to join you. If you’re in network marketing, you need five really solid people. That’s it — just 5.

People are waiting for you. They just don’t know it yet. Your posts from now on will solve someone's problems or bring someone value.

So instead of saying “How can I get more customers or coaches to join me, how can I get the word out, how can I find more followers,” just ask yourself, “What can I help someone else feel today? What change do I want to help people make?” Let THAT guide you. And the content will flow from it.

The people you are trying to help are trying to figure out who you are. And once they get the picture that you’re someone who wants to help them solve their problems, they’ll join you.

And when you do this, you get the best type of promotion ever made: Word of mouth. Appreciation Academy is growing so fast because people talk about it. Your best customers are your salespeople. And those people are earned through trust.

At this moment in time, more people are connected than ever, and fewer people are trusted than ever. And you become trusted by giving value to your ideal person.

And that’s the secret to success: Giving. Successful people keep their focus on what they can give to their ideal customer.

If you want to radiate success, give value. People will only do business with those that they know, like, and trust. So if you want to earn trust and become likeable, give value.

Your true worth as a business owner is determined by how much more you give in value than take in payment.

When you live that way, very profitable things happen very quickly. Give because you love to. It’s a way of life.

And that income is simply based on how many people you serve. You want to know how to build a follow? Add value to your ideal customer, and more of your ideal customer will find you. And then if you give all of who you are to that person’s needs and desires, your income grows.

Your income is determined by how many of your ideal customer you serve and how well you serve them. You find more of them by adding value to the few that are in your current market.

Being broke and being rich are both decisions. And it’s just a decision on how much you want to give to your ideal customer.

So check your intentions of your business. Is it to survive and make ends meet again? Is it to save? To expand your life a bit? Or is it to serve? To give to something bigger than you.

Guess which one is more lucrative?

Sales comes down to influence, right?

Well, the way you influence someone is by placing their needs first above yours. This can be applied to comparison. When you compare, all you’re doing is focused on how your needs aren’t being met as well as the person you’re comparing to. That’s how you stay broke. You need to place other people’s needs in front of yours.

When I reach out to coaches to speak on their team calls, do I say, “I’d love to speak on your call so I can inspire 50 people to join Appreciation Academy?” – No. I say, “I’d love to speak on your team call because I believe this can truly help your team grow, thrive, and breakthrough everything holding them back from success and it’d be an honor to serve you guys.” It’s about their needs above my wants.

And you can meet their needs by being 100% authentically you. Reaching any goal is 5% skill, and it’s 95% how you think and if you’re being yourself. As long as you’re trying to be someone else, or put on some act, you have no possibility of reaching people. You might sell a book or Beachbody or something else. But that’s what you’re selling. What you’re selling is the real you.

Authenticity is your key to freedom.

And when you combine those things, you’ll finally deserve a great paycheck. But it doesn’t start by wanting the paycheck. You need to give and just be open to receiving in return. There’s nothing wrong with receiving. In fact, you can’t truly give all of who you are if you aren’t open to receiving. It’s not I’ll give if I can get. It’s I’ll give cuz it’s the right thing to do. And I’m open-minded to cool things coming my way.

So, this isn’t a sales and marketing strategy. This is all mindset. The strategies are easy. That’s a piece of cake. And you might even have the right strategies right now. The reason they probably aren’t working is that your mindset is off. It’s all how you think.

If you can adopt this way of thinking into your business, game over. You’ll explode.

So I hope you took a lot away from this episode of The Path To Mindset Mastery today! Remember: Business is a spiritual game. It’s an emotional game. It’s a generous game. And when you make giving your main focus, business gets so so so much easier!

So as you build your business, go out there today and every day and give your audience a genuine smile on your face. They deserve it. And so do you!

I’ll see you next week!
