Don't live your life chasing a to-do list, even if you get the things on it done - there will always be more added to the list tomorrow. Today we are going to work through one of the biggest conflicting beliefs about success :

Working hard will make me successful.

When I first started my business, I was a hustler and I made a lot of sacrifices, my "to-do" list dictated how I felt about my success and I never felt satisfied as my idea of success was a moving target. I felt like I was pushing myself towards doing things. Now, I still work hard but the difference is, I am not forcing the energy I bring to the tasks that I do - my work energizes me and I am being pulled towards success. 

How did I make that shift?

Instead of “forcing” success by chasing the feeling of completion I got from completing tasks for a feeling of worthiness or alignment.

Before I was working long hours, starting early, working late, and I felt like I didn't have the time for relationships, or smaller tasks, or in fact any time at all! When I made time for family members or friends, I felt guilty that I wasn’t “achieving,” when I decided to work instead of spend time with them, I felt like I was letting them down. 

When I changed my mindset, I felt calm, relaxed and I was able to be more present both at work and with my family. I was more creative, energized, and positive, and success suddenly became easier. I was no longer relying on pure willpower to get me through.

  1. A daily feeling that something is off but you aren’t always sure what
  2. Feeling disconnected from yourself
  3. Your external reality doesn’t equal what you really desire, or it isn’t trending there
  4. Physical pain, getting sick more often
  5. Tired, sluggish, uninspired
  6. Feeling unclear
  7. Not attracting what you want in life
  8. A general feeling of "It's not working!"
