The past only becomes the future when you live there.
When you set a big goal but focus on what you haven't been able to do or why it might not work out, or, what could go wrong - you are killing your results before you start. Today, we are going to talk about focus, and more specifically, focusing on what can go right!
Most people focus on the bad, what didn't go to plan, and what they don't want to happen. How many of you have set a huge goal and your immediate reaction is, "Well that's not going to happen?" Life is always trying to teach us something but occasionally life ties a note around a brick and throws it through our window. This often scares the crap out of us and leads us to focus on the problem - the broken window. The note containing an amazing lesson, often gets lost in between the fragments of broken glass and thrown away in the cleanup.
Pain in life is guaranteed, but suffering is a choice.
We need to shift our focus to the good things and things that are going well in our lives. Wherever your focus goes your energy flows. When you start thinking about where you want to go, not what's holding you back, what changes? You start thinking of solutions, ideas, you become more creative, you have more energy, your stress levels go down, your relationships improve and your bank balance goes up!
