Welcome to The Path To Mindset Mastery! My name is Brad Bizjack! Let’s talk courage.

You need courage to go after your biggest dreams and goals.

We need to realize first there are a couple of really big myths about fear (the opposite of courage).

Courage = Taking action in spite of fear


You should never experience fear.

‘Be fearless’ is a beautiful sentiment about taking action and going after your goals/dreams, but is it actually true that we're never going to face fears? Is it actually true that we'll ever be fearless? Absolutely not! We will always feel fear.

Actually… if you don't feel fear, it's a sign that you should be playing bigger.

Fear comes from our instincts saying to our body… STAY ALIVE! Our fears were primal, but now we aren’t in constant fear for our lives. Instead, it’s an Instagram Live that is triggering that fear in your body. So, when you feel fear, ask yourself… Are you going to die? No!

Take that feeling of fear as a sign that you are going in the right direction.


“Once I'm successful, I won't feel fear.”

We think that once we are successful, we’ll have it all figured out.

Nope, false! You’ll actually do SCARIER stuff when you’re successful! BIGGER investments, BIGGER audiences!

When you are successful, you just have more courage.

Whatever you focus on, you will feel.

So, when you are focused on being fearless… are you focused on courage, or are you focused on fear? You are focused on avoiding fear, right?! You are not focused on what you actually want.

Courage is acting in spite of fear… that is focusing on where you want to go.

So, if we must be courageous in life… HOW do we do it?

A good way is to realize that as you take action (+ do scary things), your level of confidence will increase tremendously.

The Confidence Competence Loop by Brendon Burchard

Brendon says: If you ever want to change your life, first you must take a leap of faith. Your life will not change without a leap of faith.

What is a ‘leap of faith’?

  • Saying ‘I love you’ first
  • Making that big investment in your business
  • That next career step (you have been afraid of making)

And when you take that leap of faith, you must trust in your ability to figure it out.

The first step, the ‘leap of faith’ might feel forced, but after you do it, you will have confidence in yourself.

Here is the Competence Confidence Loop:

Courage creates-> Action…

Action creates-> Feedback…

Feedback creates-> Data Collection…

Data Collection creates-> Competence…

Competence creates-> More Courage!

This whole loop starts with a Leap of Faith!

You might take that leap of faith because you want a certain outcome, but what you might really need are more data points. You can’t collect any data points by not taking action.

Data points on who your audience is and what they really need.

Data points on the right price point for your product/service.

Data points… data points… data points until you get it right!

When you take action to collect data points (and not because you want a certain outcome), then you will realize the outcome will always be positive (because you’re always collecting data points!)

Data points are always valuable feedback!

If you want to change your life…

Your business

Your career

Your marriage

Your income

Your relationship with your kids

…You need to give yourself permission to have courage and take that leap of faith.

Lastly, whatever area you want to change in your life, be that person NOW! If that area of your life were already different… WHO would you be? HOW would you act? What would be your thoughts, beliefs, feelings?

Be the person you think your goals will make you become (before you actually reach those goals!)

That is how you change your life!
