Welcome to The Path To Mindset Mastery! My name is Brad Bizjack! Have you ever noticed that when you are going after your big dreams & big goals… you cannot quite get it out of your head? You tend to bring that energy to other areas of your life… to your spouse, your kids… where it is truly not serving you.

I used to do that all the time, but there is this one tactical strategy (a mindset tip), that you can apply to your day-to-day life that allows you to turn off all the things you are working on and not allow that stress to overflow to family and loved ones!

When you are more present with your loved ones…what happens? You bring more fulfillment to your work and you can get stuff done faster (and with more excellence)!

This is one strategy that will serve you well!

I found in my life that when I was building my business (or at least in the thick of it), I had a hard time turning everything off, right? I was going all day… on messenger, texting, emailing, all these to-do actions to magnify my life and to serve all these people. Maybe you are in a corporate job and you are going all day long. It is really easy to bring that stress back into your home, right?

This is all about being proactive (instead of reactive).

It is all about setting intentions!

You can do this with work.

You can do this with negative people in your life.

You can do this when you are going from one room to another.

All it takes is one minute (and this can change everything for you!)

Here is what you do…

When you close your computer at the end of the day (or close the door on your office or classroom) before you move to the next room… just pause.

Ask yourself, “What emotions do I want to walk into the next room with? Who do I want to be in the next room?”

When you get home from work, who do you want to be?

When you walk in that door, who do you want to be when you greet your kids?

How do you want them to experience you when you show up for the first time that day?

Do you want to be full of joy and excitement to see them or stressed after a long day and short-tempered?

Which emotions leave a better impression on them?

What if you pick them up and swing them around and hug them and play with them… what does that do for your family? What impression does that leave? When you make their life more fulfilled, you feel more complete! When you feel more complete, you bring more of who you are to your business and your work, and then you are more productive at work.

There is a direct correlation with our personal lives and our professional lives.

We want to make sure to bring our best selves into what we do. So, here is what you are going to do…

Whether you are about to leave a room or about to walk in the door from work or about to be done with work for the day (and your spouse or kids are in the next room), set the intention of who you want to be and the emotions you want to bring.

You are leaving everything else behind you in the previous room and you are bringing the best version of yourself to what you do! Be proactive in your life instead of reactive.

Decide who you are going to be in that next room…

I'm going to be present.

I’m going to be optimistic.

I'm going to be grateful.

I'm going to be loving.

I'm going to be caring.

I'm going to show up in that room with excitement & joy & passion!!

Even if you are about to call someone… before you dial their number… take that pause and decide you want to be on that call. Compassionate? Forgiving? Humble? Accepting? You decide!

We are in a huge rush in life. If we just take a second to slow down before we respond to things, slow down before we start a new situation, it will change everything!
