Welcome to The Path To Mindset Mastery! My name is Brad Bizjack! I’m a Mindset
Strategist and Coach, inspirational speaker, and creator of Appreciation Academy and I
help online business owners breakthrough all the negative self-talk holding you back from your dreams so you can finally see the success you deserve!
My mission is teaching business owners that happiness comes first, and part of that happiness is in your intimate relationship. It's so important because think about this in your business…you want these big goals to be achieved…you want them! You want to achieve financial freedom, you want to help all these people, but if your intimate relationship is all f’d up, it's not really gonna mean anything to you. So that's what we must master.
I want to talk about Valentine's Day.
Here's what a lot of people do…
**They don't even get excited about it anymore. (That's what most people do.) They don't even get excited about it anymore or they don't see it as a way to celebrate their love. They use it as just a way to keep going through the motions.
**They'll get a little gift (a little trinket) to compensate for a year of avoidance. Right?! Tell the guys that their flowers don't make up for a year of avoidance. It doesn't work that way! What do people do? They go to Walgreens…get a box of chocolates or flowers…they come home…they expect their wife to be ecstatic and put out that night…right?! That's what they expect!
That’s how Valentine's Day goes.
For most people, it's a place of pain. It's a reminder of why they're not enough. It's a reminder of why their relationship is tanking.
So, I'd like to share with you how to make this Valentine's Day the BEST one you've ever had!! Wouldn't you agree that if your marriage isn't thriving, business doesn't really matter? So, let's dive into that.
Where do people go wrong on Valentine's Day?
#1) The first thing where they go wrong is expectation…
To a lot of people, Valentine's day is a day where they expect their spouse to do big grand gestures, exactly aligned with their expectations. And if they don't do that, then they feel like their spouse doesn’t care about them. And then the spouse feels judged for that expectation not being met. And so they cower like little puppies. That's how it goes!
And it goes the other way too, right? If guys have an expectation of women on that day, it goes both ways. All suffering in a relationship comes from expectations that aren't met all suffering. And there's a quote that I love. It's my favorite quote of all time.
Trade your expectations for appreciation and your life changes in a single second trade!
-Tony Robbins
Your expectations for appreciation and your life changes in a single second this Valentine's Day! If you give up expectations of what YOU THINK your spouse should do and instead appreciate them for who they are, all of a sudden, they’ll WANT to give to you.
Hint…Hint…start now:)
Give little hints now about what you hope they do and continue to appreciate who they are!
It's impossible to love someone if you're judging them.
Release judgment and release expectation and just appreciate who they are, what they've given, how they're here right now, and just love them for that! And when you love them for that and you choose to give them that freedom that they want so bad, you appreciate them, you love them, you don't close off to them and you choose to not no longer criticize them, but accept them. They will open up. And if you can take it a step further and help them feel so appreciated…seen…understood and just feel like they have this security with you.
If you do all of those things, the game will change forever! You will feel fully alive in your intimate relationship.
So, Valentine's Day can become the BEST day ever!
#2) The second thing is to give them what they actually want. For most guys, your wife doesn't want flowers. Maybe they do, maybe they will appreciate flowers. But like I said, flowers don't make up for a year of avoidance because chances are you do one romantic gesture where you get your wife flowers on Valentine's Day and then you bitch at each other all year long and then you find yourself on Valentine's Day again…getting her flowers and chocolates. It's not how it works!
I guarantee you that for all the guys out there, your wife would appreciate you so much more if you just listened to what she said and did something that made her feel so alive and so happy that proves that you are listening!
#3) The third thing is to put your focus on giving and not getting. You didn't get in your relationship to get you got in the relationship to give, to find a way to make the other person's life better. That's what you decided! That's why you're in a relationship. That's why you got in it in the first place.
Think about it, in the beginning of the relationship, in the beginning of the relationship, it wouldn't matter what the other person requested. You wanted to do it in a second because they requested it and because you wanted to make their life amazing. Well, if you rededicate yourself to making your partner's life amazing and you light up from giving them pleasure, then all of a sudden, your relationship never dies.
That's where the game changes. So, I hope you find a lot of value in this today!
Also, if you haven’t heard, I'm doing a $50 gift card raffle each month.
